WE ARE UNCOLLECTIVE (Formerly Space 37) bring in artists, musicians and other talents to transform a plain old barn and fields into the magical fantastical Land of Langa.

A freelance network of curators, collaborators and educators currently based in Devon. It's their mission to nurture connections with the South West art scene including Falmouth, Penzance, Plymouth, Exeter, Dartmoor, Torbay and further afield. They believe in a DIY ethos and that artists are capable of making positive change in communities through collaboration.

Everyone is invited to be part of what they do regardless of age, background or technical skill.

'We are everyone, everywhere!'

Dave Green

You may have spotted Poet and Children's Worker Dave running the 'Langa Lounge' in 2017. This year, he returns to the festival with a selection of whimsical postcards in our art stall (and if we're lucky, some live poetry)

One of the many small businesses we're proud to support! After working on projects like the live-action Beauty & The Beast film, local artist Cat Moore presents her stall full of jewellery, accessories and other beautiful bounties.

Sonic Bloom

The brainchild of multidisciplinary artist Joe Wood, Sonic Bloom is an ambient sound and light installation which uses interactive and generative techniques to create a constantly evolving sonic landscape. Look out for the magical cubes!

Oran Perrett

The mastermind of The Barn since year 1. Film maker, painter, sculptor and purveyor of kaleidoscopes, step inside our world of psychedelic imagination.

Hannah Denholm

Another local artist, Hannah has been involved in festivals across the South West. Look out for her playful sculptures across the site.

Angel Baby

"An artist from the heavens who extracts the beauty of your dreams" Expect ambient sounds, plastic dolls and lots of pink taking over a corner of The Barn

Owen Bush

Plymouth-based YouTuber and content creator, joining Langaland for the very first time!

"A newly formed performance collective. We make provocative, personal and playful work. Part party, part live art, Frisky’s mission is fun + accessible performance for all". Frisky's Lucy Mann presents a BRAND NEW comedy piece on the state of sexual education. Not to be missed!

The word legend isn't often justified, but in the case of Viva Hamnell it can't be used too much. One of the founders of Elephant Fayre (now Port Elliot Festival), frontwoman of a cult punk band and star of her own touring show, Viva will be joining us this year to impart her wisdom to the young punks of Langaland.

Aimee Standen

Langaland's fresh and funky graphic design hero! The Bristol via Brighton based artist presents a brand new look for the festival.
